About

Jane was born in Manchester. Wanting to work more in the world of art she took a degree in graphic design and worked for Minale, Tattersfield and Partners, a top international design group in London. Finally she realized her dream and trained as a fine artist.

Jane has a studio in Battersea, London and has exhibited in many group shows. She was selected to show the Royal Academy Summer Show in 2020, more recently at The Chelsea Arts Society Annual Exhibition in 2025.

Jane became interested in simplifying her images into colourful and geometric hard-edged shapes during her time as a graphic designer.

To prepare for a painting or print she makes lots of drawings, simplifying them as she goes along. From her drawings she creates colourful collages which can be manipulated until the desired effect is finalised. The image is then transposed on to a canvas or screenprint.

She draws inspiration from London, her travels abroad and her love of Anglesey and sailing.

Jane has also worked on several commissions for a property company in London and a Pharmaceutical company in the Middle East.
