Dorney Lake 2012
Dorney Lake was created in response to a commission to show a rowing image during the Olympics. Jane was invited to take photographs of the World Championships in August 2011. From the photographs she simplified the images, which were further simplified when she cut the shapes to be printed out of amberlith (a light blocking film), and then exposed the shapes on a light box. This was a complicated print requiring about thirty separate pulls of colour and was the first time she had attempted to use figures in my work.
