This image depicts the emptiness of the Tobacco Dock shopping complex that never took off. Jane was inspired by the reflection of light coming through the skylight onto the empty floor juxtaposed with the reflections of the railings as she looked through the glass shop window into the empty space. She liked the idea of the fact that the overlapping colours play with the picture plane.
